ERP Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

Powered Enterprise is KPMG's world-class accelerated Enterprise Business Transformation approach for cloud-based solutions driven by a pre-defined back-office function based on leading practices and KPMG's six-layer Target Operating Model. The target operating model comprises of service delivery model, people, process, technology, data & insight and governance & controls. This solution combines the breadth and scale of KPMG's leading practice, capabilities and insight into what makes a world class corporate services function with the latest in ERP technology provided by the leading SaaS ERP vendors such as Workday.

The Powered Connected Technology team is a community of technology focussed professionals who work together to deliver SaaS ERP based transformation programmes based on KPMG Powered Enterprise. The team use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g. Oracle, Workday, Coupa, SAP) to lead and deliver client programmes, to support pre-sales activities and to develop improvement and extensions to the Powered Enterprise model. KPMG are growing their Powered Connected Technology team to meet an ever-increasing demand for our market leading services and are seeking technology management consultants with relevant expertise and experience.

The role:

• Supporting the delivery of large and complex Cloud ERP enabled business transformation programmes, typically as a member of the programme management office

• Participating in quality reviews of in-flight programmes to ensure delivery on track to time, cost, quality, budget and benefits

• Maintaining an understanding of current Cloud ERP industry trends

• Supporting business development activities including contributing to and presenting proposals/ bids for future work

• Contributing to service development through sharing of experience and programme and project management tools and techniques

• Actively contributing to the global people agenda including mentoring.

We are looking for you to be a passionate and motivated individual who has strong consulting skills and able to work with senior level executives to deliver large multi-year business transformations enabled by Cloud ERP technologies. Typically we are looking for individuals with the following backgrounds:

• Demonstrable ERP programme delivery experience across FTSE 250 firms.

• Experience of at least one full lifecycle ERP deployments

Essential

• Experience of helping manage ERP delivery as a member of the core team, for example, programme management office

• Excellent consulting, stakeholder management and communication skills

• Solid understanding of programme & project management techniques / tools and how these can be applied to help deliver success for our clients

• Project management skills (e.g. planning, reporting, budgeting, risk / issue management, team leadership)

• A thorough understanding of all phases in a standard project delivery methodology.

• Experience of managing teams

Desirable

• Entrepreneurial spirit - experience of being involved in and leading proposals and bid development

• Project management qualification (Prince 2, MSP, PMI, PPM)
