Main Purpose
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Administrators at the 100 Air Refueling Wing Squadron, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform administrative tasks, including, amongst others: preparing media articles, preparing reports, analyzing program statistics, and starting and maintaining case files.
You will use office software to produce a wide range of administrative documents in different formats. You will prepare a wide variety of correspondence and reports, and review and finalize documents prepared by others. You will review and process incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations, and directives. You will receive and direct telephone calls and visitors. You will create and maintain office records.

Knowledge and Experience Required
Applicants must demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of and experience using various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support EO office operations and produce a variety of documents, such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
2. Knowledge of and experience applying correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports.
3. Working knowledge of rules, procedures, or operations applied to clerical assignment to perform the routine, procedural work of the office, such as preparing and editing documents, maintaining files/records, making and preparing travel arrangements, screening telephone calls and visitors, processing mail, planning, organizing, and carrying out assignments and composing routine, nontechnical information for recurring reports and inquiries.
4. Working knowledge of filing systems and procedures and the subject matter content of the materials being processed.
5. Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.
Other Important Information
- Hours of work: Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies.
- Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules, and regulations.
- Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- May be assigned other duties that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the employee.
- May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training. Position may be coded as mission essential.
- A 6-month probationary period will be required.
- Overtime may be required.
- May be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
