We are looking to recruit confident individuals who enjoy working outdoors and want to make a difference for the community.
No qualifications required, experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
If you are indiscriminate, honest, reliable, posses a high level of attention to detail and can manage conflict and are cool under pressure, then this would be the role for you.
As a uniformed and authorised Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling areas, sometimes compiling reports and gathering evidence to lead to prosecutions in Magistrates Courts. You will be issuing Fixed Penalty Notices to those that break the law as part of the evidence gathering processes.
You will be issuing Fixed Penalties for dropping and leaving litter, not removing dog fouling, dogs on beaches and more. You will be working with councils to maintain the districts. Helping to create a safer, nicer place for communities to live, work and play.
EH Commercial Services Ltd was established by East Hampshire District Council and now delivers services to 8 other councils in the South of England.

(We operate from Havant Borough Council and travel to our site(s). But we can also help any team member who lives at, or near another district where commuting may be difficult, with location to work and at a nearer site to them then always coming into Havant reducing mileage costs.)
You will be required to work 37 hours per week including weekends. Flexibility around working hours may be required from you from time to time to meet our customers’ requests.
Salary Up to: £24,000.00 - £28,000.00 per year OTE and TAX FREE Introductory Bonus of £1,000 upon passing your probationary period. We also assist local communities and we offer incentives for performance within the community. Plus, progressions and pay rises within the team structure.
Location
We operate across Hampshire & West Sussex. You will have the opportunity to work across all Councils (mileage will be paid).
Essentials
Able to speak English
Conflict Management Skills
Full UK Driving licence
Access to a vehicle for business use
Fit and able to walk moderate distances
Computer literate
Phone literate
Ability to communicate with the public, often in difficult and demanding circumstances.
Ability to compile simple reports
Desirable
Can speak multiple languages
Have previous customer service or enforcement experience.
Has experience with Conflict Management
