THE ROLE…
As an Entry Assistant Designer, you will be working closely with and supporting the Established Designer and wider Collusion design team, creating the amazing COLLUSION range. If you love fashion design, researching the latest trends and want to be part of a fast-paced fashion forward design team this could be the opportunity for you.
Collusion is a multi product brand but in the role you will specifically be focus-ing on woven softs, formal jersey and swimwear/beachwear! However there will be opportunities to get involved with all product areas!
THE TEAM…
The Collusion Design Team look for inspiration everywhere; Instagram, TikTok, street style, vintage shopping, music, art, the catwalk and all things creative, to design the latest product for the range. We are constantly striving to be the newest and the first!
YOU’LL BE…
- Assisting in research, development, and design for COLLUSION, including identifying key shapes for the season, colour, fabric and building a range alongside the designer which creates first to market pieces and offers choice for our global customer base.
- Integrating yourself into a commercial ways of working.
- Proactive in creating mood and colour boards and share creative ideas to shape and develop the COLLUSION collection and to create trends for the season. This may also include shop reports, social media, catwalk and street style reports and sourcing new fabrications and trimmings.
- Building relations with suppliers and advising factories on direction, construction, key details, materials, and trims.
- Adhering to the critical path to achieve deadlines, ensuring product is developed for the relevant and optimum selling period.
- Create mood and colour boards and share creative ideas to shape and develop the COLLUSION collection and to create trends for the season. This may also include shop, social media, catwalk and street style reports and sourcing new fabrications and trimmings.
- You will also work alongside the buying teams to reacted to sales information and alongside your designer present design ideas and develop product to drive the range.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET SOMEONE WITH…
- A graduate/1-2 years experience in industry.
- An amazing attitude and passion that reflects the COLLUSION DNA.
- An conceptual thinker with a strong commercial handwriting and under-standing of the COLLUSION Brand and Customer.
- Someone who is confident in presenting new exciting ideas back to the de-signer and wider team.
- Computer Skills: Photoshop, Adobe, CAD.
- Basic print and graphic design skills.
- A fashion forward perspective who is immersed in everything to do with the Gen Z customer.
- Strong time management skills.
- A strong team player.
- The confidence to identify problems and make improvement suggestions, seeking practical ways to overcome barriers and remaining calm under pressure
- Willingness to travel in the UK as required, for supplier meetings and inspiration/ development trips
