  • You’ll be pivotal in creating and embedding an effective and efficient risk management framework, engaging with key stakeholders across all three lines of defence and all legal entities

What you'll do

You'll play a leading role in developing and implementing our Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework. This will include leading the creation of executive and board papers to help manage risk appetite, policy and other framework components.

In addition, you'll be:

  • Driving the management of risk appetite, policy and other framework components across the bank, challenging the senior leadership team on the implementation of these
  • Simplifying risk management methodologies, processes and related control activities
  • Providing effective and strong stakeholder engagement and management across the business
  • Supporting dialogue with the bank's executive management and external stakeholders on framework design and implementation
  • Liaising and managing the communication with external regulators and rating agencies on internal and external related deliverables

The skills you'll need

To join us in this role, you'll need an in-depth and holistic understanding of risk across multiple risk types and risk and control frameworks in financial services organisations. Along with this, you'll have a strong understanding of external regulations and best practice guidance relating to risk frameworks as well as banking industry experience.

You’ll also need:

  • The ability to simplify complex and conflicting tasks, making sure that these are effectively managed and communicated
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work credibly with stakeholders and influence senior executives
  • The ability to challenge the norm and develop simpler, more efficient ways of working
