Job overview

The Division of Medicine at the Oldham Care Organisation are looking for patient focused support staff to join our new clinical team to support patients across the hospital requiring enhanced patient observation to their nursing teams across the Division. This Healthcare Assistant role is key in ensuring that our Nursing teams are supported to deliver consistent, high quality, patient centered care. You will be providing enhanced 1:1 care to patients who lack capacity and are unable to maintain their own safety in hospital. Care will be provided across all medical wards and will cover all aspects of the patents care.

Main duties of the job

Completion of an NVQ level 2, apprenticeship in Care or equivalent training is required for this role.

Your care for other people and your willingness to go above and beyond to provide the best possible care to patients and relatives will ensure your success in the role. Friendly and approachable in your style, you’ll be someone who can communicate well, be able to organise your workload accordingly and be a reliable point of support for patients, relatives and your colleagues.
