We are seeking highly motivated individuals to tackle manufacturing on the challenging new pilot and mass production lines. You will be working alongside engineers to develop an advanced new product and be among the first individuals to work on cutting edge manufacturing processes within Tesla. This specific role will focus on characterization and metrology support for battery electrode manufacturing. What You’ll Do• Support engineering with offline and inline metrology related tasks for electrode manufacturing. • Be trained and operate offline metrology and characterizations on samples from various manufacturing processes. • Install, maintain, test, and validate offline and inline metrology tools. • Operate various offline metrology equipment in the development stage. Conduct measurements and experimental runs on the equipment and be able to document and report observations. • Immediately report emergencies, incidents, and near misses to the engineering. • Support inline tool calibrations, monitor tool health monitoring dashboards, report and resolve tool downtime, calibration issues, and develop OCAP procedures and train production and maintenance technicians. • Independently document operating procedures and data in a standard format and cross train to be competent in multiple work areas. • Conduct analytical tests, measure and record data using defined tools and software. • Participate in the continuous improvement of safety, quality, output, and tool uptime.
