About the role
This Research Assistant position is an exciting opportunity to join a team led by Prof. Sarah Garfinkel, on a Wellcome funded project. This is a fixed-term role offered for 3 yrs in the first instance with the possibility of an extension. The post-holder will work on a new grant investigating the role of interoception in emotion with application to depression and anxiety. The post-holder will be responsible for helping to set up the experiments (including helping with ethics), data collection and running the study. The successful applicant will be based at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (ICN) and will work in collaboration with Dr Camilla Nord (CBU, Cambridge) who is co-leading the grant.
About you
A BSc and MSc / MRES in Psychology or Cognitive Neuroscience is essential. You will have experience and an interest in running experiments, with a particular focus on emotion and interoception. Ideally, you will have excellent organisational skills to help co-ordinate and run experiments, under the supervision of Principal Investigators (Garfinkel and Nord) and the rest of the research team. You will be confident in managing participant recruitment and overall efficient running of a series of inter-related experiments, including the secure recording and storing of data.
