Purpose of the role:
Assisting the engineering team, in undertaking the upkeep and repair tasks to the interior and exterior of company premises including all incoming and outgoing services and associated plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Health and safety
- Ensure full audit compliance
- Drive PM improvements and reviews for site services
- Full compliance and close out of active permits on completion of works during shift
- Remedial and Preventive and Responsive works on a daily basis.
- Attend breakdowns on site services, carrying out fault find finding & repairs effectively and efficiently to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum
- Carry out routine planned and preventive maintenance activities across site as directed on a daily basis.
- Proactive Health & Safety approach
- Project specific works as directed including electrical builds, installations and fabrications as required.
- General housekeeping around all plant rooms
- Complete daily Engineering worksheets with detail as required
- Control of Legionnaires and maintain records
Water control:
- Manage 5-yearly risk assessments, complete and update as required including rewriting procedures where required
- Manage and repair dosing systems as required
- Produce and manage samples for local authorities and audits
- Manage water tank inspections including 12 monthly cleans
- U/V system repairs – water filter changes- keeping records
Insurance Inspections:
- Manage and record- Pressure systems- Lola requirements- lifting equipment and boiler inspections. Control contractor requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Fully qualified time served Engineer with nationally recognised certification
- BOAS
- Minimum Level 2 food hygiene
- Minimum Level 2 HACCP
- Flexible approach to work
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
- Experience in all aspects of control of contractors on site
- Able to work flexible hours
- Reliability and good time keeping
- An understanding of efficiency
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
