Patient Information Officer
£31,500 - £36,500
FULL TIME (with flexible and part time options considered)
Based in Andover, Hampshire (with Hybrid Options available, minimum 2 days per week in the office)
Are you somebody who would love to use your ability to convey complex scientific and medical information into accessible and patient friendly language to help us Beat Macular Disease?
Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support.
To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever.
We are valued as a trusted source of information for those affected by Macular disease. Working as part of our committed and supportive research team, you will help us to continue to deliver on our value of knowing our stuff by ensuring the information we use across a range of media is evidence based, reliable, and up to date. You will use your technical writing skills to produce clear and high quality information that reflects scientific, medical and low vision specialist information in an accessible and attractive way for our audiences.
If you understand the power of good information, have excellent research, writing, editing, and proofing skills, and the desire to support and inform then we would love to hear from you.
