Engineering Site Supervisor

Morgan King are working with a well known sub contract projects company based in Rotherham, the company handle bespoke engineering projects, machine builds as well as the servicing, and repairs of equipment on companies sites. The company handles all their projects and machine builds/installations from Cradle to grave. Including the initial design, the build, and finally the installation on company sites.

They are looking for a skilled and Knowledgeable supervisor to join their team due to an internal promotion.

Reporting to the site Manager, The Site supervisor will ensure all things technical are up to date, including customer and client liaison. Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs, requirements and representing the company in the field at all times. The supervisor will share responsibility for security, Health and Safety and resources management.

Standard Working hours and package

  • 0730-1630 with a 12.30 finish on a Friday
  • The majority of the role will be site based, which includes travel nationwide and overnight stays with the team on regular basis.
  • £37 500 - £42 000 DOE + all overtime
  • Access to company vehicles
  • Overtime rates paid at higher rate.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make initial contact with the client, attending site at planning stages to evaluate risk assessments and method statements.
  • Managing labour availability to allow for effective planning.
  • Evaluate and provide effective costs for equipment on site, to help support initial quotations.
  • Producing RAMS in a timely manner to distribute to customers, and other engineers in the team.
  • Attend project updates and customer site meetings.
  • Encourage and inspire team members of site fitters and fabricators, to get the job done with a right first-time mentality and within both budget and time frames
  • Ensure companies health and safety and quality procedures are adhered to.
  • Produce accurate quotations in line with company rates.
  • Happy to roll up their sleeves and join in with the team on machine builds/installations. Have a lead from the front mentality when time permits.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a similar role, ideally within a supervisory capacity
  • NVQ level 3 in engineering related qualification
  • Excellent organisation
  • Team leading experience.
  • Customer facing skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £37,500.00-£43,000.00 per year
