Customer Development Manager - Jewson - PART TIME/FULL TIME AVAILABLE
This is an exciting opportunity for two ambitious, proactive, trusted and driven Customer Development Managers to join our business. We are open to full or part time hours and the role can be based from any Jewson branch within the Region (Key branches - Woking, Guilford, Leatherhead, Basingstoke, Farnham). The role will be involved in visiting branches within the region and customer sites.
As a Customer Development Manager working for our Jewson brand you will assist the Business Unit in the on-boarding and development of new accounts, supporting the external team on conversion of live quotes and build Aviator pipelines as well as the management of key accounts. The Customer Development Manager will work with all functions to develop and leverage the scale of the Business Unit. Jewson is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK. You will join a passionate, customer focused and commercially driven team, working in a challenging, fast paced environment where you can demonstrate your flair for time management, Customer Service and communicating internally and external at a high standard as well as provide a “best in class service” for our customers. As a Customer Development Manager you will be a key contact for our new customers, you will lead the estimating service which we provide via Build Aviator as well as provided pipeline opportunities for our Sales Executives out in the field. This is a fantastic opportunity to get yourself noticed within Saint Gobain and two last people employed in this role have both been promoted due to their success in this critical role for the business.
What will I be doing in the role?
- On-board all new accounts within the Business Unit, ensuring that they start and continue to spend
- Work with customers and the external sales team to agree and set terms of trade
- Support the external sales team with preparation and conversion of all quotations
- Develop trust relationships with key Business Unit customers to maintain and improve Profitability
- Pro-actively phone targeted customers to improve the share of wallet
- Provide customer insights to the Sales Manager to identify opportunities
- Work with the branch teams to execute the local Business Unit sales plan
- When on site must comply with all EHS policies and procedures
- Maintain extensive knowledge of our products and services as well as market trends in order to understand the customer’s needs
We are looking for experienced customer service/key account professionals. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however, we are open to reviewing applications from a range of backgrounds, across different sectors as we feel a positive attitude and a commitment to your learning and development are most important. If you haven’t worked in this industry, that’s okay, we will support your learning to help you develop with us.
