Weekend Days - 0530-1730 (flex 3 days Fri-sun/Sat-Mon)
About the role……….
As the Engineering Shift Manager, you will lead a team of Engineers and Technicians to ensure the safe and reliable performance of plant and machinery, whilst providing a safe and engaging working environment.
You will manage the delivery of the daily shift plan, which will include machinery maintenance, servicing, breakdowns, and process improvement.
An excellent communicator, you will deliver on the job mentoring, collaborate with suppliers and contractors, and take the lead on improvement projects and initiatives.
Responsible for on shift performance of equipment, GMP audits, workshop standards, planned maintenance delivery, investigations, and escalations, you will have a robust understanding of engineering and operational KPI’s, be able to identify areas for improvement, and will ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
With a strong attention to detail and a passion for engineering and leadership, you will represent the company’s high standards, conducting yourself in a professional and positive manner.
These Engineering Shift Managers hold cross functional positions, having engineers from both departments report into them, and are also responsible for any contractor work being conducted in their department.

About you……….
You will have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) in an Engineering discipline, have extensive onsite engineering experience having previously worked with pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum and process controls, and experience of completing basic electrical engineering requirements.
The successful candidate will have been trained in legionella, ammonia, steam, working in confined spaces, and working at height, and if you can read advanced electrical/mechanical drawings on new machinery, that would be advantageous, but is not essential.
