Job Title: Engineering Administrative Apprentice Department: Engineering Location: Grimsby Reports to: Engineering Coordinator

The main purpose of the role is to assist the Engineering Coordinator through work experience, training and development (both practical and vocational), you will complete a level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship qualification with DN Colleges.

This role is based in Grimsby within the Engineering Department and is for a fixed term, initially for 18 months excluding the end point assessment period.

Position Summary - Main job functions

  • Create engineering task lists for asset inspections
  • Generate monthly Inspections and issue to engineering team leaders
  • Contact and arrange statutory inspections for key engineering assets
  • Monitor and control PAT testing schedule issuing reminders to Engineering Team Leaders
  • Ensure documentation is complete and present for mandrel inspection and oil sampling Monitor water treatment documentation and ensure completed maintenance inspections are kept up to date within SAP
  • Liaise with Production and Engineering Team Leaders to plan production outages for inspections
  • Conduct daily stock checks of free issue items
  • Assist the Engineering Administrator to complete monthly and annual stores stock checks
  • Use the SAP system to raise purchase orders, amend purchase requisitions and issue goods received notes
  • Conduct internal documentation and inventory audits and participate in external auditing process
  • Add remedial work orders to the system in response to technician feedback

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Computer literate & a good knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Office)
  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Demonstrate good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Willingness to enrol on relevant courses
  • Ability to act with integrity and abide by UK GDPR principles and obligations
