Right now we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our PMO team
The Role;
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing large-value projects as well as leading and mentoring our Project Managers.
You will be part of a fast-paced PMO team and will work alongside various departments with the aim to deliver successful large-value projects within budget and target delivery dates. Liaison with third parties to manage the implementation of multiple technical projects will also be required.
As a Senior Project Manager at CTS you will:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, to successfully execute the implementation within the defined scope and budget
- Delivery of medium to high complexity projects with budgets over £1m
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client-facing project documentation for tracking and monitoring scope change and or risks
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients, ensuring transparency and clear communication regarding project status, progress, and potential risks
- Conduct comprehensive post-implementation reviews to assess project outcomes, capture lessons learned, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to the Head of PMO
- Manage and control the scope of work to ensure that the balance between meeting both the client and the business needs
- Assist the Head of PMO with improvements to both PMO Processes and PMO Governance
- Follow company alignment to relevant policy, governance, change control and reporting requirements throughout project life cycle
- Maximise operating efficiency so that projects are delivered to agreed company standards, targets and implement quality improvements alongside the Head of PMO
- Manage and Report on commercial delivery at senior level
- Maintain a full working knowledge of all company Project Delivery Processes and Templates
- Provide guidance and skills mentoring to the Project Managers to ensure best practices and knowledge is shared.
- Work alongside our procurement and service teams for delivery requirements
Essential Skills
As a Senior Project Manager, you will build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, you will work under pressure, remaining organised in order to prioritise your workload to meet demands.
You will also demonstrate that you have:
- Extensive experience in managing and leading multiple projects to successful outcomes within an MSP or ITSM environment.
- Proven capability of managing multiple senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience in managing complex IT projects, including network implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and cloud migrations.
- Management of all stages of the delivery lifecycle, from initiation to post-production support
- Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, at times, working autonomously to deliver complex projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, within the context of managed services environment.
- Experience in effective and smart resource management
- A high degree of commercial understanding and knowledge of planning and project controls.
- Strong leadership skills with the desire to develop your skills and experience alongside us as we grow the business.
- It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Effective analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills
- Effective project management fundamentals (e.g., initiation, planning, delivery, risk management, stakeholder management)
