About Us Spektrix is a growing collection of creative problem solvers focused around the arts and technology whose mission is to help arts organisations be more successful. We’re doing this through a combination of cloud-based software and consultative customer support that empowers arts organisations to grow revenue, increase efficiency, and build stronger relationships with audiences. We are always looking for new ways to approach problems, share knowledge, and better serve our customers. You’d be joining a team of over 200, based across our New York, London and Manchester offices and working with over 600 arts organisations in North America and the UK.

Key Responsibilities
The role This role aims to get the very best out of the engineers we have at Spektrix through coaching and building an environment which encourages learning and growth.
You would be accountable for the line management of 2 teams of engineers with up to 7 people in each, as well as leading hiring efforts for those teams to ensure they are as well set up as they can be.
To us line management is a supporting role all about facilitating whatever your people need to be most effective in their roles and helping them grow their abilities. This includes ensuring they receive coaching, mentoring and support both from yourself and others as well as representing them to the organisation, for example helping them build cases for progression and set useful goals.
You will represent Spektrix to the people you manage, setting a behavioural example and helping interpret the wider context of what is happening in the organisation in terms of the impact it may have on them. You will also be responsible for taking the lead in any issues around performance or misalignment of expectations that happen with the people you manage.
While you are aware of the work the teams are doing, and do whatever you can to support it, you are outside the day to day delivery cycle. Working closely with the Delivery manager who runs this to ensure the team is well supported.
Outside the team you will contribute to and lead on department wide strategy projects or areas of ownership, working with your peers to help us evolve and improve the department as needed.
We believe that the best answers are found collaboratively in an honest low ego environment and you will be key to maintaining that.
