We are seeking an initiative-taking engineering associate to support the success of LCRA Transmission Services Corporation's capital plan. This role will support major substation and transmission line infrastructure projects by developing and managing scopes of work for external engineering service providers. The ideal candidate will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and project stakeholders within and outside the organization. The preferred candidate will be highly organized, have a keen eye for detail, be process improvement minded, possess critical thinking skills, and must be able to collaborate effectively with team members. This position offers exposure to multiple areas within engineering and provides opportunities for growth within the organization.
You will be trusted to:
- Lead the development of scopes of work for external engineering services. Draft, route for stakeholder input, and coordinate with supply chain.
- Lead proposal review meetings with internal stakeholders, provide feedback to supply chain and external engineering partner.
- Maintain external engineering firm assignments and status information in databases and workflow tools.
- Perform regular ad hoc reporting to analyze trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform decision making.
You qualify with:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus one or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job.
- Driver's license

- Experience in developing and managing scopes of work for external services.
- Experience in process improvement and ability to solve complex problems.
- Experience with 138-345kV Substation and Transmission Line projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
