Job Description
  • Perform mathematical, statistical, and engineering analysis of component, subsystem, and weapon system reliability, service life, availability, and supportability for MMIII weapon system. Perform analysis of aging components and impacts on system capability. Produce reports and presentations to communicate the results of analyses.
  • Conduct reliability projection, sample size determination, quality control analysis, and aging trends modeling. Provide technical guidance on reliability, aging surveillance, and testing plans to MMIII government engineers and contractors.
  • Interpret and analyze data using statistical and analytical techniques to provide results to customers and team members. Investigate various analysis methods and improve the weapon system assessment methodologies and processes.
  • Coordinate and support to hold various technical exchange meetings that the team is responsible for including but not limited to Reliability Scoring Panel meetings, Assessment Integration Meetings, Weapon System Effectiveness Report Reviews, and various technical integration meetings.
  • Participate in the annual publication effort of the Weapon System Effectiveness Report (WSER) as a primary author. Support the WSER integration lead to publish error-free reports on schedule.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Problem-solving skills to answer mathematical, statistical, and engineering questions.
  • Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • 0-2 years of directly related experience.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Proficiency in R or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Bayesian Statistics
  • BS degree with emphasis is Statistics
