We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Employee Engagement Specialist to join our team and help us create a vibrant and engaging workplace environment. As a brand ambassador and coordinator of employee events and activities, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the LJA experience and fostering a cohesive and motivated workforce where our team members feel valued, involved, and connected.

Responsibilities

Employee Engagement Strategy:

  • Develop and implement an employee engagement strategy that addresses improving employee retention metrics.
  • Collaborate with HR regularly and cross-functional and geographical teams to identify and coordinate employee engagement activities and education opportunities that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular assessments and surveys to measure employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.

Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Organize and coordinate a variety of employee engagement events and activities to enhance the employee experience – team building, celebrations, educational sessions.
  • Liaison with HR to help coordinate activities related to the company’s employee Mentorship program.
  • Coordinate and maintain a comprehensive calendar of employee-led group events and activities across the company’s many offices with support from office volunteers.
  • Lead the monthly meeting with office representatives to discuss upcoming events, activities, and provide support/tools for consistency in events.
  • Manage event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, invitations, and budgeting.

Workplace Culture Enhancement:

  • Collaborate closely with HR, leadership, and other offices to establish and maintain a positive workplace culture throughout the company.
  • Develop and oversee employee led affinity groups and their activities.
  • Develop and implement procedures and criteria to support employee driven requests for employee events, charitable contributions, sports teams, etc.
  • Create and deliver engaging internal communications that inform and inspire employees.
  • Develop and manage communication channels, such as newsletters, intranet, and digital.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee feedback, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address concerns identified in employee-led groups.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in employee engagement, event planning, marketing, or related roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to connect with employees at all levels.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of best practices in employee engagement and workplace culture.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
