About the role
We’re creating new teams in our growing climate action service. Our new Energy Systems and Investment team will play a pivotal role in supporting the investability of renewable energy, zero carbon heat, energy storage and demand reduction programmes to meet net zero and contribute to a fairer energy system for Oxfordshire.
The Energy Systems and Investment Manager will develop a high performing team focussed on the systems, policy and business models we need to realise a local energy transition. The post will be responsible for growing programme of work scaling up quality homes retrofit and managing a growing portfolio of innovation projects addressing the barriers to net zero energy system, following the nationally leading partnership work on Project Local Energy Oxfordshire.
You will work widely across the organisation including with our innovation hub and placemaking and infrastructure delivery services, as well as building strong strategic relationships with our key external partners such as the district and city councils, University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes, Low Carbon Hub, Local Enterprise Partnership and the Distribution Network Operators.
About you
We’re looking for an excellent communicator and experienced partnership worker. Your expert knowledge of the barriers to decarbonisation of the energy system and strategic thinking will shape a programme and strategy to deliver the energy system and investment Oxfordshire needs for a greener, fairer and resilient future.
