EY
Full Time London, England 32307 - 35807 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

Preferred locations for this position are London, Amsterdam, Houston or New York but highly qualified applicants from other locations will still be considered.

In a fast-changing and uncertain world, the right insights make the difference between seizing an opportunity and missing it entirely. EY Knowledge helps EY to win in the market by providing the right insights at the right time through an agile, client-first organization.

This Analyst position will see you provide deep insights and perspectives on the Energy Industry to EY leadership, participate in client meetings and external events to strengthen EY’s presence and reputation in the market, and mentor more junior analysts to develop their commercial and analytic skills.

The opportunity:

EY recognizes the power of knowledge to anticipate change, unlock value and drive growth. As the Energy Industry Analyst, you will provide powerful insight to EY's Energy leaders and practitioners related to their external market positioning and client service. You will combine strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspectives driven by an understanding of client issues and broader marketplace drivers. You will have a key role to connect and collaborate across our global network of Knowledge Analysts along with our Industries and Service Lines business network to further strengthen the quality of your insights.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with and challenging EY senior leadership to provide commercial and provocative perspectives on the issues, challenges and opportunities facing our clients in the industry
  • Co-creating insights beyond publicly available information, interacting with EY leaders and external networks to build proprietary data sets and evidence for differentiated points of view
  • Leading/contributing to multidisciplinary teams for delivery of strategic and complex projects, often working virtually across industries, service lines and geographies

Skills and attributes for success:

As a trend-watcher for the Energy Industry particularly on matters relating to energy transition, you will harness a natural curiosity about business models and emerging themes that are reshaping the Energy industry to curate and co-create insights that empower our clients to act decisively.

We know it takes specialist skills to gather, generate and analyse a rich pool of information and turn it into powerful insights that give clear future-facing directions. You will be known for translating your big picture thinking and ability to explain complex concepts into a crisp, clear, concise and graphic-rich communication style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.

To qualify for the role, you must:

  • Have 5+ years experience in researching trends in the Energy Industry
  • Have deep analytic capabilities leveraged, including surveying and data storytelling, in support of EY’s Energy transition thought leadership agenda
  • Have strong commercial acumen, able to connect client business issues with EY solutions
  • Have experience in interacting with senior business leaders, leading conversations, and offering differentiating perspectives
  • Have a proven ability to deliver succinct and structured oral and written communications

What we look for:

Someone who will thrive on partnering with our global Energy Industry leaders and external client teams to create distinctive insights and perspectives for Energy Industry practitioners to take to clients. A trusted business advisor willing to work collaboratively in helping frame the business issues that drive new solutions for our Energy Industry practice.

What we offer

If you join EY we offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.

  • Continuous learning:
You’ll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.
  • Success as defined by you: We’ll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.
  • Transformative leadership: We’ll give you the insights, coaching and confidence to be the leader the world needs.
  • Diverse and inclusive culture: You’ll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.

If you can demonstrate that you meet the criteria above, please apply to this role only through the ‘Apply’ link (not through the local office). Your application will then be routed to the appropriate recruiting team.

The exceptional EY experience. It’s yours to build.
