Holmen Iggesund is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.
Your future challenge
With full operational control of both energy supply through our Biomass Combined Heat and Power Plant, and use through our Pulp and Boardmaking processes, we have opportunities for the optimisation of energy throughout our whole process.
As Energy Engineer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a road-map for energy optimisation projects. Based on the site energy balance and working with area teams you will identify, evaluate and prioritise areas for improved energy performance. This will include evaluating potential impacts, costs, benefits and risks. You will have the opportunity to identify, drive and lead energy improvement activities and projects.
To succeed in this role
The successful Energy Engineer should possess:
- Degree level education in a relevant engineering/science/papermaking discipline or equivalent experience.
- Strong data analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of the production area processes.
- Good leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to improvement activities and project work.
