Using exceptional employee support and advisory skills across a diverse range of employee well-being topics, this role is the key connector between HR and Employees.
What You’ll DoThis role directly impacts the employee’s experience during the employee life cycle within the company and their day to day working life and adds value by providing exceptional support, advice, problem solving, and escalation where needed.
Providing exceptional Employee Support:
- First point of contact for our employees for all individual matters, questions, or concerns: Providing guidance, advice, problem-solving and coaching throughout their employee experience at Tesla.
- Intake for employee grievances, escalation to relevant contact points and follow-up. Support HR Partners and line Managers on legalities and best practices/policies. Ensure cases are managed fairly and consistently.
- Create awareness for internal HR processes (e.g., our performance appraisal process) and HR systems and tools. Guide our employees on additional resources available to them.
- Ensure proactive communication with employees on key updates or upcoming events such as policy changes or introduction of initiatives. Deliver trainings on existing or new company policies to employees and address queries from our employees.
- Pro-actively educate our employees on support available for their well-being.
- Act as first point of contact for employees on long-term leave incl. Maternity and Paternity.
- Pro-actively collaborate with key stakeholders (HR Operations Specialist/HR Partners) to drive improvements on support initiatives and raising awareness within the People Leaders.
- When needed and in agreement with Manager, visit Tesla locations to address issues or concerns and/or provide informative sessions.
- Perform eligibility checks for internal transfers.
Owning the continuous improvement of the employee experience at Tesla:
- Host new hire information sessions to welcome and educate our new employees and provide the necessary follow-up with key information on useful resources and contact points as well as local benefits and where information is located.
- Analyze data to track trends in employee concerns and work in collaboration with our HR Partners to recommend and implement improvements addressing these topics.
- Own updating all HR policies and procedures and collaborate with key stakeholders (HR Partners and our Employee Relations team) to drive consistency.
- Ensure updated policies are stored in relevant platforms.
- Advice relevant stakeholders on policy-related updates and queries.
- Content creation and proactive maintenance and updating of all relevant HR communication channels (e.g., intranet page, newsletter) for the markets assigned to ensure a consistent information flow to our employees. Partner with key stakeholders for input and alignment.
- Proactively conceptualize and drive any other EMEA-wide or region-specific projects in collaboration with various stakeholders to facilitate the continuous improvement of the employee experience at Tesla.
Close collaboration with HR Partners and HR Operations Team:
- Providing support to the HR partners for policy guidance, best practices and local regulations on employee relations processes such as performance improvement plans, probation management and sickness cases.
- Supporting disciplinary processes resulting from employee concerns/misconduct in line with the local processes. This can also include providing support in the investigation process (notetaking, advise on previous cases) while at the same time keeping the stakeholders informed.
- Support the HR Partner with termination cases. For example, settlements, redundancies, etc.
- Work closely with HR Operation Specialists in regards Offboarding process. Handle the riskier cases in agreement with the HR Operation Specialists.
- In collaboration with HR Operations Specialists/HR Partners, gather and analyze data and draw actions.
- Provide guidance, support & training on local equirements/legislations to our HR Operations Specialists.
- Check, sign-off and approval for HR Operation Specialists payroll input in line with 4 eyed and segregation of duty SOX principles.
- Contributing to ongoing improvements on our operating systems and/or processes.
- Support the onboarding/training of new HR colleagues, e.g. through creation of and overseeing the Onboarding plan.
Partnering with other relevant stakeholders:
- Partner up with Learning and Development Team providing them feedback on the training needs of our employees (e.g. regarding Onboarding or our performance appraisal process), prepare sessions and training materials.
- Proactively analyze feedback on benefits and collaborate closely with our Benefits Team and HR Operations Specialist to work on opportunities and improvements.
- Proactively work on training material and support tools for Managers on how to manage employee wellbeing, including sickness cases.
- Escalate health- and safety concerns to our Environment, Health and Safety Team, working with the team to ensure and improve communication on current health and safety policies.
- Collaboration with other internal stakeholders as needed.
- 2-3 years of experience in HR operations, case management
- Coaching and or advisory experience
- Knowledge of labor law for the market assigned
