Please note this is a fixed term post until March 2025. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit an Employability Officer/Job Coach as part of an exciting pilot that will support people entering/returning employment as part of our anchor organisation ambitions.
The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of employability initiatives in line with NHSL Employability Strategy and relevant Scottish Government policies and delivery plans e.g. Young Persons Guarantee, No-one Left Behind, Child Poverty Action Plan and report to the Senior Employability Advisor/Job Coach Lead,
The purpose of this role is to support the management of the operational activity for NHSL’s Employability Programmes and Apprenticeships Programmes Foundation/Modern/Graduate Apprenticeships. The post holder will provide job coaching to individuals on the employability programmes and support their managers where necessary as well as provide support and advice to NHS Lanarkshire’s managers and liaise with external agencies to enable the development and implementation of NHSL’s employability initiatives across all NHSL’s services and sites
Experience of working in a job coach position within employability programmes in a large sector organisation is required in addition to experience of working in partnership with multi agencies. Experience interpreting complex information as well as managing own workload efficiently and effectively is also essential.
We are looking for someone who is educated to SCQF Level 8 or equivalent knowledge of Job Coaching subject or has experience of working in a job coach position within employability programmes in a large sector organisation
