Primary Responsibilities
The Governance and Operations team supports the EMEA Enterprise Compliance Department, and its various compliance management activities in EMEA, which include budget and headcount management, annual planning, governance and management reporting, professional development programmes. and other strategic initiatives.
This role will report to the EMEA Head of Enterprise Compliance and Conduct Risk, who effectively acts as the Chief Operating Officer for the EMEA Compliance Department. The role provides the opportunity to partner broadly across Compliance in EMEA and foster close relationships with equivalent functions in Compliance in other regions.
Key Responsibilities
o Manage a team of 5 Compliance professionals in London and Mumbai
o Co-ordinate annual planning and track completion of annual plans
o Prepare consolidated reporting for Senior Management, various enterprise governance committees and the Morgan Stanley International (MSI) Board Committees
o Participate in planning, execution and maintenance of the EMEA Compliance budget and provide oversight for expense tracking and reporting
o Support headcount management activities, including the annual budget, recruiting efforts and reviewing resourcing requests
o Prepare other internal governance reporting, including KRIs/KPIs, regarding the key Compliance Department processes and the Department's outsourced activities
o Co-ordination on behalf of the EMEA Head of Enterprise of Compliance and Conduct Risk Head among the EMEA Compliance Department's senior leadership team
o Management of Compliance Department professional development programs including Intern, Graduate and mentoring programs
o Oversight of the Compliance Regulatory Reporting Framework
o Provide project management support across a variety of cross-Departmental, ad-hoc matters
o Participate in other strategic initiatives

Experience/Technical Skills required
> Previous experience in financial services with a leading bank, securities house, regulator or consultancy practice in an operational, risk, control or compliance function
> Previous experience in project management
