Job description
Sutton (hybrid options) - Senior Embedded Software Engineer – 65-75k
Platform have partnered with a well established company in the lighting controls industry and they are looking to increase their team due to exciting new projects that have been released to them. They are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer who has experience within the IoT field ideally.
Main Duties:
+ Design and develop embedded systems hardware (microcontrollers, sensors, actuators and wireless communication interfaces.
+ Create prototypes through phase 1 development
+ Ensure thorough testing and change designs based on feedback from clients
+ Work in a small team of engineers, actively participating in design reviews and brain storming
Skills Needed:
+ Proven experience within embedded system design and development, ideally in the IoT or BMS domain but this isn’t essential. Suitable candidates would likely have over 5+ years experience.
+ Strong experience in firmware development for microcontrollers using C/C++
+ Experience within communication protocols used in IoT applications such as MQTT etc.
+ Knowledge of low power design techniques and battery-powered systems
Additional Skills (nice to have)
+ Experience using ESP 32 or other low-power systems
+ Knowledge with tools like Zigbee or BLE could also be useful
More Details:
This position is based in SW Greater London but does come with hybrid working which can be discussed during interview. Their will be 2 rounds of interviews, including an initial call and an onsite technical interview to meet the team.
