Hashtag Monday was originally established in January 2020 in Manchester and began as an email marketing agency serving e-commerce brands from all over the world.
After 18 months in the game, and realizing that there were better and more impactful ways to serve our clients, we realized that being just another email marketing agency wasn’t cutting it anymore.
After getting feedback from prospective clients and existing clients, it was very clear that we needed to focus on full customer retention marketing for e-commerce brands.
Now, the focus for Hashtag Monday isn’t only on email marketing. Even though we’re a well-recognized Klaviyo Platinum agency, our focus has shifted to building tailored customer retention systems that generate profitable revenue for the amazing DTC brands that we work with.
We’re a small but mighty independent agency with over 15 team members across the globe, from Ukraine to Argentina to Indonesia.

This role is for a specific type of individual.
One who is early in their career within the ecommerce/digital marketing space, but has built up at least 2 years of experience in the space, and is ready to learn from a team of individuals who are obsessed with offering their clients more than just basic copy and paste strategies.
This role spans beyond just learning about foundational Retention channels like email and SMS Marketing, we work with clients to build out other channels like loyalty, subscription etc.
Ideally you will be hungry and driven to learn and soak up knowledge on all of these channels working directly with our Strategist, with a genuine interest in the industry and want to develop and work your way to the top.
You'll be exceptionally organised and stay on top of the day-to-day workflow of key initiatives, ensuring deadlines aren’t missed, as well as being confident to speak with clients and form your own relationships with them.
Here's what a typical week would look like:
- Collaborate with the team of copywriters, designers etc, where you’ll be focused solely on managing the pipeline of work between them and your clients
- Project managing all client initiatives from start to finish and liaising with key stakeholders where required
- Lead client meetings to communicate marketing insights, report on channel performance with the help from our Strategist, and plan for further development
- Onboarding new clients and managing their expectations throughout the client relationship, including client retention
- Assist our Strategist on the strategy for the client based on your understanding of their business needs
- Checking the quality of the initiatives we have set out, to ensure it’s to a high standard for your clients
What we're looking for?
- Relationship management is key with both team members and clients, you will be hands-on and proactive with both, where you’re not reliant on motivation to get things done
- Strong multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with experience in handling multiple clients/accounts (agency experience is a plus)
- At least 1+ years of email marketing experience, either in-house at a brand or at an agency
- Good knowledge of Klaviyo, with at least 1 year experience
- You are obsessed with keeping up with trends in the ecommerce space and keen to be coached and developed to progress and become an even more valuable asset to the company
- Must be willing to work UK time zone 10am-7pm time

This role is remote, meaning you are more than welcome to apply anywhere in the world, provided you are able to work 10 am-7 pm UK time. Please note that you will be required to file your own taxes for this role.
