IDEAL CANDIDATE
We require an experienced engineer to lead projects that push forward the autonomous capabilities of our aircraft.
This role involves a diverse range of wiring and building tasks for a talented, flexible, and passionate technician with experience in electronics, and electrical build in manufacturing. This person must embrace the challenge of producing outstanding results on his/her own without the need for constant supervision.
An individual with a few years of experience in soldering cables, building harnesses, crimping connectors, and working with wires from 26awg to 8awg is preferred for the position. We expect applicants to have proven dexterity, to be quick and to enjoy building complex systems.
Full time role for an immediate start.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
Please note: This is not a suitable role for a graduate engineer with no work experience. This is also a very hands-on role, using bench equipment and working with our vehicles, customer hardware, and with other team members - as such, this role is a full-time office based role.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must be able to demonstrate hands on experience in previous roles as an assembly technician, or engineering
- Must be able to solder and understand basic electrical wiring
- Strong focus on quality and customer pride
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Electrical assembly, such as soldering (PCB or wires), crimping and general avionics wiring/assembly
- Make and install wiring looms, circuit boards and other electronic hardware
- Assemble vehicle frames, motors, and other mechanical hardware
- Use power tools with precision and in a safe manner
- Report on Quality Control issues and managing documentation
- Test and follow quality assurance procedures
- Able to multitask and work in a high pressure and task-oriented environment
DESIRABLE:
Previous experience doing wiring/assembly in the aerospace industry will be of additional interest.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
This position will suit an experienced individual to apply their skills from a similar production and manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years’ experience in a hands-on position.
