Leasehold Services (trading as Zero Down Lease) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our team. We understand that lease extensions might seem boring, but we are passionate about helping people navigate this complex area. As a small team, we are dedicated to solving big problems and making a meaningful impact on the lives of our customers while using as much tech and data as possible.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. As the primary point of contact for our clients you will play a crucial role in delivering a great service and positive outcomes for them.
You will be part of a small team and work closely with the other parts of the business, allowing you to help shape the future of this team as we grow.
This role will require you to work in our London office two days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remaining days.
Responsibilities
- Being the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional support and guidance on their lease extension
- Handling customer enquiries promptly and professionally via phone, email, and other channels.
- Managing legal files, ensuring that they are organised, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Communicating with third parties such as solicitors, surveyors, and landlords to exchange information and negotiate on behalf of our clients.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Onboarding customers once they have agreed to use our services.
- Working with the wider team in improving our customer proposition, data and technology
Ideal candidate
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a legal role (paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary or similar)
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong attention to detail in order to ensure legal procedures are followed correctly
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload in order to manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Self-starter who takes responsibility over tasks and drive them enthusiastically
- Preferred (but not required)
- Prior experience in conveyancing / property law. Leasehold-specific experience would be highly welcome
- Formal legal training such asNALP Paralegal practice award, certificate, diploma
Postgraduate paralegal diploma
a Law Degree
An award in legal studies
Legal secretary certificate or diploma
