Ontic, an aerospace industry leading provider of ‘Extended Life Solutions’ for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy and non-core products, is looking for three Electronic Repair Technicians to join our team based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham to support our continued success and ambitious growth plans.
As the globally trusted aerospace partner in supporting and supplying established aircraft parts to the world’s aerospace leaders, Ontic provides established product solutions and expert OEM support. Ontic is experiencing ongoing growth due to the continual acquisition of product licenses contributing to growing workload for our OE (Original Equipment) and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) operations.

What will you be doing day-to-day?
The Electronic Repair Technicians work in the MRO Cell which will receive faulty customer units to include Fuel Computers, Fuel Probes and Integrated Refuel Panels.
The Electronic Repair Technicians use various inspection and diagnostic fault finding techniques (including the use of multimeters) to identify the issue to enable Ontic to quote the repair cost to the customer, personally completing the required repair once approved by the customer.
Once established in the role Ontic offer travel opportunities within the UK, Europe and Globally (with compensation benefits offered and full expenses covered when working away). Travel is offered dependant on skills and experience, and is not obligatory.
What will you need to know?
To be successful in the role you will need demonstrable experience of inspecting electronic components and fault finding at both modular and component level, in addition to repair of electronic/electrical components.
There are no pre-requisite qualifications required to join Ontic as an Electronic Repair Technician; if you do not possess qualifications and would like to study for a HNC, this is something that Ontic can offer to you!
You will need to be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of electronic/electrical theory and principles. You’ll also need to be comfortable reading circuit diagrams, engineering drawings and work instructions.
Candidates experienced in a similar role within an Aerospace business will have a distinct advantage.

This role is working 37 hours per week (8 hours Monday-Thursday and 5 hours on a Friday). We operate a flexi-start time where you can start your shift between 7am-9am to suit your preference and lifestyle.
