Salary from £50240 - £64800

What we’ll offer

Our Lead Analysts play a key part in the delivery of Technology changes in Tesco Bank working with Product Managers and Product Owners to help define complex ideas and business problems into Epics and Features aligned to the Bank’s strategic business outcomes. You will have an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Bank’s transition to an Agile operating model.

The Role

The Analyst team ensure requirements are captured from different stakeholders and articulated clearly for our Engineering teams to design and develop software. The stakeholders include Product Managers and Product Owners along with different Centres of Expertise within the Bank.

  • As a Lead Analyst, you will be able to demonstrate a breadth of experience in working closely with senior business and technical stakeholders to shape ideas into manageable deliverables such as Epics and Features.
  • You will provide estimates for development work using input from colleagues in Technology. This will involve projecting cost, duration and complexity.
  • You would be responsible for managing a team of analysts (c10 colleagues), improving the capability of that team through both team level service improvement activities and a focus on personal development for your team members.
  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging with business leaders and collaborating with business and engineering resources of all levels.
  • You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to contribute and support the development of analysis and user story standards that support Tesco Bank’s operating model and engineering standards.

What you’ll bring

You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of the following:

  • Broad range of experience within a senior analyst role in a Financial Services or Payments environment.
  • Strong appetite to manage the delivery of feature level requirements, continuously improve ways of working and to develop and coach less experienced colleagues.
  • Comfort in understanding of business problems and opportunities then articulating technical solutions to address these.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of current technology trends and methodologies.
  • Experience of working as an analyst in an organisation using the SAFe delivery framework would be preferable. #LI-KP1
