Accountabilities
Ensure all electrical installations are second fixed to the relevant regulations. Liaise with the Supervisor / Electrical inspector and end of line tester / QS and other operatives to ensure a safe and smooth running of the process.
- To complete the second fix element of the electrical installation to the requirements of BS7671 and monitored company quality assurance systems. This comprises of set duties which are on rotation system.
- Check that all accessories (particularly alternatives/replacements) have been fitted to the manufacturers fitting instructions and are also compliant with the wiring regulations. If in doubt report immediately to the Supervisor / Inspector / Tester.
- Communicate any electrical errors or issues which could have an effect on production to the Supervisor / Inspector / Tester immediately
- Ensure tools are used in a safe manner, adhering to instructions given in OPLs and SWIs.
- Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times.
- Assist with housekeeping & 5’s.
- Undertake waste management duties, ensuring all recycling is processed efficiently, operating machinery where appropriate in a safe manner.
