The Role
· To work closely with the Site Engineering Team in Supporting the business by delivering PPMs and Reactive work orders across the estate, The role is a ‘Set Duration’ position allowing the ‘Pathway’ Engineer to get a suitable understanding of the requirements, and achieve the required milestones while expanding existing skillsets before stepping into a self-sufficient Inviron Engineering role.
· The position will have training courses and tasks attached to it and these will form key milestones on the Pathway towards the Autonomous Engineer position, tailored to the individual’s needs and to enhance existing skillsets, while being further supported by the Management and Development Team.
Main Purpose of Job:
· To work alongside and assist established Engineers, starting with basic PPM and Reactive tasks but following an agreed and supported pathway towards full autonomy in carrying out PPMs and Reactive tasks.
· To gain suitable experience and knowledge of the sites Mechanical / Electrical Systems, alongside established engineers and Specialist Contractors, enhancing system and site knowledge.
· To autonomously carry out a set number of selected PPMs per month and receive feedback / further training from a dedicated ‘Buddy’ Engineer to allow for development to be progressed and supported.
· To gain a good understanding of the SFG 20 maintenance guidelines and how to reference them in relation to PPMs and reactive maintenance delivery.
· To receive on the job training on the PPM issuing system (Planon) via a smartphone/tablet and gain an understanding of PPM journeys through the process and different scenarios.
· Successfully complete all allocated training within the timeline as part of the ‘Pathway’ development program and demonstrate a good understanding of the subject matter.
· Spend allocated time with the QSHE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment) representative to gain understanding of Inviron safety systems and how to utilize them.
· Agree and set a Timeline / Objectives with Line Manager to complete ‘Pathway Milestones’ and the development program towards autonomous Engineer position.
· Ensure excellent communication with colleagues and line manager to ensure ‘Pathway’ is on track and any knowledge or training ‘gaps’ are addressed and supported to ensure success.
· Review PPM delivery with ‘Buddy’ engineer and admin team to ensure PPMs are managed / delivered with appropriate support.
· Participate in Health & Safety Toll Box Talks with Engineers and ensure all Inviron Safety and Welfare Requirements are met and to Follow the Inviron ABCD Protocol.
· Attend to all reasonable emergency call-out requests as speedily as possible and maintain good communications with the Client with the progress of all outstanding works within personal capabilities.
· Complete Hazard reporting (1 per Week) as per safety requirements
· Provide Support and Cover for other Engineers as required.
· Respond to business requests promptly.
· Gain a good understanding of stores procedures, site records and logbooks.
· Look for ways to continually enhance the operation of the site.
· Any other duties as required by the Lead Engineer / Supervisor.
Hours of Work
· Monday – Friday (7.30am-4pm)
