  • Grade 12 with Alberta Journeyman Trades certification.
  • 3 years experience in an industrial setting in electrical maintenance.
  • Experience in fire alarm maintenance.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of building and fire codes.
  • Ability to estimate electrical for maintenance and construction projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s License is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master Certification would be considered an asset
  • Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset

Job Description
Keyano College is a comprehensive community institution in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Keyano College is currently seeking an experienced Electrician. Reporting to the Building Operations Manager, this position is responsible for electrical maintenance of all College equipment both interior and exterior including main switchgear, transformers, breakers, light fixtures, and fire alarm systems. The main responsibilities include preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and renovations to existing electrical systems.

This position typically works Monday to Friday, working 35 hours per week. Flexibility is required.

Advertised Salary
CUPE TR7 - $81,168.52 per annum and includes a comprehensive health and benefits package. This position qualifies for the Northern Living Allowance of $1,040.00 per month. This allowance is reviewed annually and is subject to budget approval.
