We are looking to recruit an Electrician for our client, a large Facilities Managament company. This role will be based in Aberdeen covering North East Scotland college campus.

We are looking to recruit an Electrician for our client in Aberdeen. They are a large Facilities Management company therefore experience in this sector is essential.

Job objectives and responsibilities

· To undertake the planned maintenance and repair of the Electrical equipment,
of building(s) as required under contract.

· To carry out reactive tasks within SLA's

· This role is based at North East Scotland College in and around Aberdeen and
the North East of Scotland

· Use of a Pool Vehicle for travel between sites

Main duties

· Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate
paperwork and reports

· Carry out Reactive and emergency tasks and complete the associated
paperwork.

· Ability to produce permit to work/risk assessments as required

· Identify and action any faults/remedial works inconjunction with the Helpdesk

· Use handheld technology effectively to carry out all tasks

· Assist other team members when required or as directed from
Supervisor/Manager

· Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.

· Working with visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and
Health and Safety

· Adopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the
portfolio.

· All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

· To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on
time, including purchase card receipts, timesheets and mileage returns

· To forge and maintain excellent customer relations with on site clients at all
times

· To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner

· To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures

· To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required

· To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required

· Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional
remuneration

Person Specification

· Qualified to City & Guilds Level or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role

· 18th Edition Qualification

· Fixed wire testing / EICR experience

· Commercial Electrical Experience – working in commercial environments

· Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment

- Including, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables,

- Batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable)

· Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.

· Strong customer care focus.

· Good communication skills.

· Proactive

· Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults

· Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.
