Electrical Technician
We have an opportunity for an Electrical Technician to join on a full-time basis, which is a days-based role working Monday-Friday, but we may require candidates to work shifts if the business requires them to do so.
In this role you will…
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance routines across the site
- Problem Solving
- Respond to breakdowns
- Provide electrical support.
- Perform electrical isolations identified in the site LOTO procedure.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical engineering
- Educated to City & Guilds standard or equivalent accompanied by NVQ Level 3 if appropriate
- Experience of maintaining Electrical plant & equipment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and maintenance best practices
- Understands electrical schematics, process flow diagrams and Engineering Line Diagrams
Preferred Qualification and Skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Compex Ex01-04 qualification
- City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (2382-18) qualification
The ZSC Brand was divested to an external company in October 2021. The supply chain continues to operate within GSK as a contract manufacturer supplying oral solid dose antibiotics. Once the manufacturing supply agreement has come to an end, and in the absence of any other alternative options, GSK would be proposing to close the ZSC sites. GSK would explore all options for retraining, supporting employees who might be at the risk of redundancy.
During the expected 3-5 years duration, commencing October 2021, the successful candidate will be able to make a significant impact at ZSC and GSK.
