We have an exciting opportunity for Electrical Power Systems Engineer to work within Rolls-Royce in Bristol. You will be working closely with our colleagues developing electrical technology for aerospace applications. In addition, the team is developing autonomous solutions to control a vessels propulsion system and have recently won a development contract with UK Ministry of Defence to demonstrate elements of this on a land-based test site.

What you will be doing
You will be responsible for the design and optimisation of electrical power systems to meet customer's requirements. You will also:
- Develop and verify a wider range of electrical equipment
- Support manufacture and test of electrical products.
- Provide technical solutions that meet the customer, business and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the Project/Company to customers, suppliers and operators as necessary.
Who we are looking for

- Educated to degree level or equivalent in the electrical field with experience in electrical design techniques.
- Experience in electrical power equipment specification would be advantageous.
- Sound working knowledge of marine and electrical standards and regulations, i.e. Class Society rules.
- Strong electrical background, demonstrable aptitude for problem solving and excellent communication/influencing skills
- A track record of delivery in project engineering.
