Electrical Instrumentation Technician
Peterborough
Initial 12month contract
£18.00 - £24.05 p/h
Do you have a background in electrical systems and engineering data acquisition systems? Have you been involved in the calibration and fault finding of electronic equipment? If so, we’re looking for a Technician to work onsite at a leading manufacturer, to support electrical hardware integration on an array of off-highway machines including hybrids and EVs.
Daily duties will include:
- Logging and gathering data generated from tested components.
- Electrical fault finding, diagnosis and resolution.
- Documenting and working from electrical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s standards.
- Being responsible for the fleet of data acquisition systems.
- Create electrical looms to interface powertrains to machinery.
Skills and experience:
- Good understanding of CAN Networks and Data Protocols.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Fault diagnosing and ability to fix them on remote data logging systems.
- Good knowledge of Data Implementation to support testing of a number of powertrains to the engineering standards and requirements.
- Good understanding of engine and powertrains and how signals work using data.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confident and self-starter with great communication skills.
