Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with our Water Team and be based at Stepps within our CWA joint venture framework. You will be expected to deliver a high calibre of technical quality, contribute to bids, and converse with clients and collaborators in design and planning. You will seek innovation and trial new methods, being inquisitive by nature.

You will see delivery through from conception to handover. You will be responsible for the design of the electrical elements of infrastructure water and wastewater assets including Clean Water Pumping Stations, CSOs, Waste Water Pumping Stations

This role will include site visits where you will carry out site surveys and support liaisons with clients, government authorities, contractors, suppliers. You will be tasked with delivering to agreed budget, programme and quality along with supporting the preparation of project budget & programme.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
+ Able to take full responsibility for producing, checking reports and designs.

+ Ability to coordinate, liaise and engage with clients and key stakeholders.

+ Experience in Electrical design for water & wastewater infrastructure projects.

+ Experience of projects with multi-disciplinary knowledge.

+ Water and wastewater treatment & infrastructure project experience across feasibility, outline, detailed design and construction support.

+ Production of specifications, calculations (cable calculations) and WIMES data sheets.

+ Production into detailed design drawings, Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams & Electrical plant layouts.

+ Production of process and instrument diagrams, control philosophy and HAZOP review.

+ Sound knowledge of WIMES Specifications and UK water companies.

Preferred Qualifications:
+ A degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.

+ Membership of, or working towards, a relevant professional chartered institute - for example, IET.
