Job Title: EHR Digital Programme Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) X19
Location: 1 London Bridge with expectation to visit other sites in the HCA group.
Salary Range: Highly Competitive
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract 2-2.5 years dependent upon project completion

To continue our success, we have made significant investments in enhancing effectiveness and alignment as a group we are implementing a real time end-to-end Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform.
A multi-million-pound investment, and part of our long-term digital transformation initiative. Focused on advancing our technology and integrating web-based navigation, this EHR will allow HCA UK clinicians and colleagues to enhance patient safety, quality and care.
We are investing in a new project team bespoke workforce, 292 new colleagues, focused on digital change management, transforming work practices, across the UK 30 sites, including Primary and Secondary Care.
Opportunities: for Clinical Subject Matter Experts
We are exciting to be recruiting in the Clinical area ( non medical ) 19 Subject matter experts.
As a Subject Matter Expert, involved in the EHR Project you will be an expert in a specialist clinical or operational area and highly credible among their colleagues. Subject Matter Experts play a key role in ensuring that the programme accurately captures and responds to clinical and operational need and translate current workflows into the digital arena.
The project peers will be required to work with the wider programme team to support the EHR roll out and transformation of HCA to new digital systems and technologies. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide specialist input to the HAC EHR Programme
- Attend events and workflow testing as required
- Provide relevant expertise according to their role and care setting.
- Provide input concerning National standards and local policies and protocols
- Oversee project reporting and assurance
- Focus on patient safety in their area pre, during and post implementation
- Identify, evaluate and respond to risks associate to transformation change stages
- Review and approve all training materials to help ensure clinical and operational stability.
We are looking for subject matter experts who represent a number of areas including:
- Paediatric Nursing
- Midwifery and neonates
- Therapies; Physio, Cath Lab, Radiology, Radiotherapy, OT, Salt and Dieticians
- Oncology Nursing, Oncology BMT, Oncology Transfusion,
- Critical Care Nursing
- Theatres and anaesthesia, Nurse/ODP
- Nursing Outpatients, Urgent Care
- Pharmacy
- Laboratory
Successful candidates will need:
- Specialist Degree Qualification, registered body clinical body and pin where appropriate, relevant to specialist area.
- Significant post qualification experience, and deemed a subject matter expert in their defined area of work with project team experience.
- Excellent customer care and influential leadership stakeholder management skills to be the bridge to the relationships and interaction of the HCA clinical business, IT, project teams and our implementation third party partner
- Proactive individual who is solution and delivery focused with the ability to adapt, work in a fast paced environment, responding to the needs of a changing and diverse project needs
Advantageous to have been involved in implementation of an EHR system in healthcare industry.
