Efficiency & Change Manager

The Efficiency & Change Manager role is critical in identifying, defining, and driving efficiencies and synergies for the operations resource planning directorate. This role is responsible for delivering a portfolio of initiatives, projects, and/or programmes within agreed scope and timescales. The Manager will identify opportunities for change that drive improved performance, efficiency, and colleague engagement. They will work collaboratively across the directorate with all resource planning functions and contribute to the Operations Resource Planning business and annual plan through opportunity escalation. Additionally, the Manager will define and own appropriate portfolio and project/programme governance and ensure projects are delivered in line with best practice project management disciplines. They will monitor change delivery to ensure maximum benefit is delivered or escalated and mitigated where required. The Manager will achieve influential and trusted business partnering with senior stakeholders to develop and deliver a successful continual cross-departmental feedback loop and strive for schedule stability delivering both commercial and resource efficiencies. This role is essential to the success of the organisation and requires an individual with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

About the role

The Efficiency & Change Manager role requires qualifications and/or significant experience in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, or a related field and experience in a project management or change management role, ideally within a large organisation. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as experience in identifying process improvements and implementing changes to drive efficiencies. They should have knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, and experience in delivering a portfolio of initiatives, projects, and/or programmes within agreed scope and timescales. The Efficiency & Change Manager must also possess strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making while working collaboratively with teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications / Experience

The ideal candidate for this job must have an excellent understanding of resource supply and demand processes, a track record in managing projects and delivering transformation programs, strong leadership and management skills, and experience in resource MI reporting and data interpretation. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong business planning skills, exceptional collaborative communication and change/stakeholder management skills, and be able to manage ambiguity and balance commercial and operational requirements. The candidate should also be a highly effective networker with the ability to translate complex issues for others and handle sensitive and confidential commercial information. The ideal candidate must be able to hold an airside pass and have an understanding of working in a 24/7 operational environment.
