EE Credit Controller Stockport, England
Job description
EE Credit Controller
From time to time, issues can arise which will stop us being able to collect payment from our customers. This can be for a number of reasons; this is where we step in, investigate and resolve the issue, and provide that resolution to our customers.
- Are you someone who is strong in their relationship building, within your portfolio of accounts?
- Are you great at problem solving, and getting into the root of an issue?
- Do you thrive when working autonomously?
If so, BT are looking for a Credit Controller where we’ll empower you within a supportive environment.
What’s in it for you? What are the benefits?
We add a human touch to every task, clearing up complex issues, and aim to give every customer an experience they will not forget. Working here, you’ll receive an attractive salary and a range of competitive benefits, but – more than that – you’ll be joining an ambitious organisation with a culture of collaboration and inclusivity.
- Agile and dynamic working environment, where you will feel supported and valued from day one
- Flexible working patterns within the hours of 8-6 Monday to Friday, meaning a better work/life balance
- Genuine progression opportunities - there has been a lot of internal progression this year alone
- Monthly bonus
- 22 days’ annual leave (not including bank holidays)
- Free car parking on site and fantastic public transport links
- Pension scheme - you contribute 5%, BT contributes 10%
- Discounted broadband and BT Sport, BT TV and Mobile
- BT Share option schemes
- Season ticket loan and cycle to work schemes and many more flexible benefits to fit around you
What will the role involve?
- Business customers take a variety of different products and services within EE/BT. Our team steps in to provide support on a resolution to any cash collection or credit issues
- Improving cash flow by building excellent relationships over the telephone, encouraging preferred payment methods, educating customers to improve payment patterns, and minimise overdue debt without compromise to customer relationships
- Real autonomy in your working day, investigating queries and resolving issues in a professional, quality manner, within agreed targets
- Own the relationship with the customer from end-to-end, identifying “root causes” and working with necessary stakeholders to resolve future occurrences, as well as educating and promoting the use of self service resources to help make operational efficiencies
- Escalating cash risks where an impact to cash is identified or anticipated
- Protecting and developing customer loyalty through the provision of an excellent service to our customers
What are we looking for in our Credit Controller?
- We need people who are excellent in rapport building, problem solving skills, prioritisation and motivation to provide the best service possible
- You will be comfortable in using a variety of different systems, as you build great relationships with your customers
- We hire on attitude and behaviours - you will be eager, a fast learner and confident decision maker, who is able to consistently display tact and diplomacy
- You will be adaptable in your approach to different customers and stakeholders, as well as being effective in negotiation and resolution
