Faculty Operations - University of Exeter Medical School
This part-time (0.6FTE, three days per week), Grade D post is available from 26th June 2023 on a permanent basis in the University of Exeter Medical School (UEMS) in the Knowledge Spa, Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro.
Role summary
The Education Support team in Truro provides operational support for clinical and academic teaching activity for medical students in Years 2 to 5 of the BMBS (medical) programme across Cornwall. The role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within administration and student support. The need to work collaboratively, effectively and flexibly within a wider team in a busy environment is important.
About you
You will be a positive person who enjoys working with a wide range of supportive colleagues in a local multi-disciplinary team but with interaction with colleagues on different campuses (usually via MS Teams) when required. You should be a good problem-solver who likes developing processes and projects. Ideally you will have experience within a large organisation such as a higher education institution or the NHS. You should also have a commitment to working with young people in an educational environment. You will have gained success working collaboratively and proactively in a team to deliver multiple objectives and high service standards. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational, IT and communication skills.
You will be expected to provide specialist administrative support and act as a first / named point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. You will promote the consistent and correct application of processes, systems and codes of practice ensuring compliance with internal and external regulation.
In summary, we are looking for a confident individual with a flexible approach and strong communication skills who has excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a diverse workload.
