About the roleEverdon Outdoor Learning Centre is a residential Centre offering environmental activities to school groups. We offer residential and day trips at the Centre and ranger led activities at Daventry and Brixworth Country Parks.
We work with school groups to enhance their learning in the classroom by taking them outdoors, where the groups can experience and discover the natural world around them and participate in a variety of activities including shelter building, woodland survival, tracking, firelighting, river studies to name just a few.
What will you be doing?We are looking to recruit two permanent Education Rangers to join our friendly team that delivers outdoor learning sessions to schools and groups visiting EOLC, Daventry and Brixworth Country Parks.
Helping to promote environmental awareness along with the physical and mental benefits of engaging with nature.
About youYou must have a genuine enthusiasm for working outdoors with groups along with excellent communication skills. Some experience of delivering activity sessions and a reasonable general knowledge of natural history are essential. Flexibility is a must and it is important that you can work independently using your initiative in all weathers.
A full enhanced DBS check will be required
You should hold a current UK driving licence to enable you to travel between sites if required.

The council is in the process of implementing a new pay structure and terms and conditions which will be applicable to this role. The outcome could result in a future variation to the advertised salary, and this will be discussed at interview.
