Work for Us
We’re looking for the right candidate to join our Community Engagement team. As Education Officer (Young People) you will lead delivery of a programme of activities to engage and connect young people to nature.
Working as part of a small team you’ll be working with children of all ages but with a particular specialism in engaging young people aged between 11-25. You will work closely with our local secondary schools, colleges and universities delivering curriculum linked activities to increase understanding of nature, climate and sustainability. In conjunction with community partners, you will work to ensure young people have opportunities to experience and enjoy nature and are informed and empowered to address the climate and ecological crises.
In addition to delivering our own programme of activities, you’ll share skills and resources to support teachers and youth leaders, enabling them to deliver outdoor learning and inclusion of nature, climate and sustainability within the curriculum.
Alongside your experience and skills in delivery of curriculum linked outdoor learning and nature based activities you will have the ability to enthuse, excite and motivate children and young people about the natural world.
With a strong customer focus and skills in working in partnership, you will have a track record of working in diverse communities.
