An exciting opportunity has arisen for two new Education Manager posts to support the educational offerings within the the Departments of Brain Sciences, and Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction, and Immunology and Inflammation and Infectious Disease. We are looking for outstanding candidates with a proven track record in supporting educational initiatives within a higher education environment. The Education Manager will be supported by a team of course administrators and interact regularly with Faculty staff, Course Directors and Teaching Fellows. The Education Manager is an essential role within the Departments and experience in a similar role Is essential.
Duties and responsibilities
The Education Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient coordination and management of all undergraduate and postgraduate courses run within the Departments and for overseeing the provision of support to postgraduate research students. This is achieved through the delivery of a strategically planned educational service, strong management of a large team, and by ensuring sound and sustainable business cases for new and existing programmes. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Directors of Education to identify and develop innovative opportunities for education initiatives.
Essential requirements
Significant relevant experience in a similar role is essential along with experience of line managing staff. It is essential that the individual has a strong understanding of modular degree structures and an awareness of how both postgraduate and undergraduate education within the College are delivered.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate with staff at all levels are required.
