Job description
- Responsible for exploring program effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, and continuous review, assessment of current programs and development of any new continuing education programs.
- Works closely with the marketing team to develop strategies to promote continuing education programs and increase enrollment.
- Prepares and manages the budget for the continuing education department.
- Recruits qualified part-time continuing education instructors for course offerings.
- Assists the Executive Director of Workforce in the preparation of reports for the THECB. Maintains records and recommends procedures necessary for effective department operations.
- Maintains contact with businesses, industries, and local government entities to design and deliver training programs.
- Assists with new initiatives in the areas of workforce literacy.
- Assists in the preparation of grant proposals and funding requests.
- Oversees the submission of Texas Workforce Commission Reports and courses for Workforce Investment Opportunity Act funding.
- Manages and creates courses to be offered to the public through the Texas Mutual Safety Educational Fund.
- Develops strategic plans for improving the continuing education’s allied health programs to include; scheduling, recruitment efforts to draw students into the programs, advising, and advisory committee effectiveness.
- Provides for and is actively involved in on-going evaluations for both in class and at practicum sites, development, and enhancement of allied health program offerings.
- Creates and actively engages all areas of the continuing education’s allied health sector’s academic initiatives to include any credential audits and externship relationships within the community.
- Coordinates all CPR course offerings, including assigning instructors and maintaining CPR credentialing records, and oversight of American Heart Association documentation submissions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree
- Two years of experience in a similar field
- CPR Instructor’s certification. If candidate does not possess at time of hire, certification must be attained within three months of hire.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
