Responsibilities:
- Assist the history teacher in delivering engaging and effective history lessons to secondary school students.
- Support the teacher in planning and preparing educational materials and resources.
- Provide individualized attention and support to students who may require additional assistance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic growth.
- Help maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Collaborate with the teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in history, languages, English, social sciences, or a related discipline. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- A genuine interest in education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of history subject matter.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Organizational skills to assist in lesson planning and material preparation.
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to work well within a team.
- A positive attitude and a passion for promoting student engagement and success.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to apply for a new one.
