An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join the Implementation team at the Leicester Diabetes Centre, Leicester General Hospital as an Education and Research Facilitator. This post will provide development and oversight of all content for the digital health programmes within the MyDESMOND platform: a range of innovative digital self-management education programmes. Therefore, accredited DESMOND educator status and HCP registration is highly desirable. Additionally, there will be cross working with the Innovative Management, Prevention And Care for long Term conditions (IMPACT) team in the development and delivery of new complex interventions.
The Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC), based at Leicester General Hospital, is committed to growing international research, education and innovation, and is one of the largest facilities in Europe for conducting first class clinical research and is world-renown for both its healthcare professional and patient education programmes.

The post holder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have experience working within the field of chronic disease including diabetes and a passion for digital health content. This post will have the option to work from base or home, but must be prepared to travel nationally to meet the needs of the service.
