A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles. WHAT TO EXPECT An opportunity exists for a talent Lead EDS Engineer to lead the development of EDS commodities within the traction battery, powertrain energy storage department. You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of activities associated to powertrain of electric vehicles (which is the future for our industry). JLR operates within an agile framework so previous exposure to project management environments is very useful. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Directly leading a team of two whilst collaborating with the rest of the Powertrain EDS In-house Engineering team to deliver EDS commodity (both LV and HV) Liaise with key wiring suppliers to develop technology roadmap and support standards development and issue resolution. Ownership of core Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), including related documents (e.g. boundary and interface analysis). Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis Drive a robust integration between 3D CAD, Circuits, complexity and 2D drawings ensuring the full alignment WHAT YOU'LL NEED Essentially we are looking for Engineers who experience of leading others; those with EDS Engineering experience and the capability to solve complex engineering related problems.
